The Power of A Smile

It’s about this time of year we acknowledge how quickly January flew past, how we seem to have settled back into a routine.  Check you are not allowing yourself to lower the expectations you held for yourself at the end of last year.  Take a moment to consider how you are feeling, allow yourself the time to relax, perhaps take ten minutes to just close down your eyes and visualise yourself centred, balanced and happy.  Happy is not an elusive feeling, it is right there inside you, just smile, go on allow those lips to curl up into a lovely wide smile and just feel how it feels.  No matter the situation you find yourself in, the depth of your experience, the pressure you feel under, you can instantly lighten things with a smile.  We know life presents all manner of experiences, exasperations and difficulties along with all the remarkable wonderful and sublimely joyous ones. When you need a little extra power for your personal use just smile.  You do not need to be emmeshed in the challenge of a lifetime to need an extra umph, you may be trying to get the lid of a jar or the plug from the sink, visualise it happening, smile and you will find the power you need.  It may also help when you are emmeshed in the challenge of a lifetime, give it a go.
